Manager/Senior Manager - Architecture - Mechanical (10-20 yrs)

Job Location: Gurgaon
As a Technical Architect, you own the quality and architecture of the sub systems that you are working on. You will support and collaborate with your own team, Engineering Manager, Technical Lead as well as cross-functional teams for the intended performance.
Planning & Design:
- Should detail out High level design document from PRD and make sure that features of PRD are captured and covered well in the document.
- Should Evaluate and design products considering principles of scalability and Technical excellence.
- Should evaluate and recommend feasible manufacturing practices.
- Should Explore and evaluate multiple design solution for a given set of problem.
- Should contribute to timeline discussions.
- Should define Material/Component/Manufacturing process selection criteria based upon requirements (feature and reliability).
- Should evaluate Materials/New Manufacturing processes/ /technologies which are relevant and best suited to product's roadmap.
Development :
- Should define guidelines for material/manufacturing process selection with reliability and availability in consideration, 2D/3D CAD design with consideration of maximum stability and other relevant practices.
- Should review design calculations, simulation analysis, reliability analysis and contribute for improvements.
- Should be responsible for conducting and ensuring DFMEA at all critical phases of product.
- Should work closely with QA team in establishing process guidelines for manufacturing, Assembly, Shipping & Packing.
- Will review verification results and suggest relevant design changes.
- Will review validation results and suggest relevant design changes.
- Should work in individual and team capacity to contribute for patents and publications
Product Release :
- Should establish basic design guideline to meet the compliance/certification requirements mentioned in PRD.
- Should do review for compliance with established component selection and design guidelines.
- Responsible for identification of Spare BOM
Product Support :
- Should be part of first production run and qualification golden sample/FAI.
- Should do audit of production line to ensure adherence to product design principle
- Should approve RCA of design level issues
- Identifying repeated issues and give resolution for onsite systems and include feedback in future systems.
Functional :
- Should own the interview tests and platform for hiring the right talent at the right time. Should support the EM in developing the team's competencies, composition and diversity. Support in hiring talent across the organization.
- Should support the EM for all the technical, functional, and behavioral trainings required for performance and career development of the team along with the Talent Development function. Support relevant teams across the organization by sharing knowledge.
- Performance management Provide your feedback on the team member's performance and career aspirations to the TL/EM.
- Team's Process compliance Encourage team members to abide by processes and policies of the Company - Product, Organizational and Statutory.
