Job Description :

Position : Manager / Senior Manager - PPC

Reports to : Head Production

Qualification : Bachelor Degree in any discipline/ Master Degree in Operations Management is desirable.

Experience : 13+ Years in a reputed manufacturing industry

Objective of the Position :

Manage Team members of Production Planning & Control and Production to achieve the plant targets.

Main Responsibilities :

1. Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials to meet production requirements.

2. Establish / revise production norms / standards for all operations.

3. Capacity planning and identifying and elimination of bottleneck processes.

4. Project planning for capacity enhancement.

5. Develop and maintain reports relating to process, product and operation on-time performance. Advise management when on-time order delivery is in jeopardy.

6. Work daily with peers and superiors developing the maturity of the production planning systems in support of business goals and a continuous improvement initiative.

7. Correlate planning and scheduling of orders with machine loading and labor availability to obtain optimum utilization of equipment, efficient allocation of labor, and on-time delivery of products.

8. Evaluate production statistics and their impact to the production schedule. Report major variances from plan to appropriate management personnel along with a course correction action plan for managing issues as they arise.

9. Perform physical counts of raw material and work in process (WIP) inventory, identifying and solving inventory variances.

10. Attend regular Operations meetings to develop priorities which are in line with Sales requirements.

11. Using ERP, report capacity required, including overtime needs, per build schedule and business planning.

12. Daily review of despatch to ensure on-time and accurate processes of transactions between operations.

13. Work pro-actively, on a daily basis, with the manufacturing supervisors, procurement and other departments to ensure schedules are maintained
