Manager - Solar Technical (5-15 yrs)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design person with extensive experience in the design and implementation of solar photovoltaic power plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Solar plant design, Planning and budgeting with focus on renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities:
- 1.Design and engineering for solar photovoltaic power plant projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, industry best practices, and project requirements.
- 2. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal locations for solar power plant installations, considering factors such as solar irradiance, terrain, shading, and environmental impact.
- 3. Develop detailed system designs, including solar array layouts, electrical schematics, equipment specifications, and structural designs, to maximize energy production and efficiency.
- 4. Perform electrical engineering calculations and simulations to optimize system performance, voltage levels, power distribution, and protection coordination.
- 5. Select appropriate solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and other components based on performance, reliability, cost, and compatibility with project requirements.
- 6. Prepare technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports, to support project planning, permitting, and construction activities.
- 7. Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure that designs meet quality standards, performance requirements, and customer expectations.
- 8. Project Planning and Budgeting.
9. A good understanding of the key commercial aspects of PV projects.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred
- 2. Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar photovoltaic power plants in renewable energy projects.
- 3. Proficiency in solar photovoltaic system design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, PVSOL) and electrical engineering software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD).
- 4. Experience with renewable energy project development, permitting, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
- 5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
