Role and Responsibilities

Contribute to the category strategy definition and ensure implementation the CBU. Negotiate supply agreements,supplier innovation, cost reduction programme

- Build and share market analysis at local level taking into account brands and business priorities.

- Build the Materials Category Sourcing Strategy (Dual sourcing, quality improvement, productivity projects) and implement it

- Ensure security of supply, productivity, safety & quality, supplier selection, contracting and administration, working capital management

- Launch Request For Quotation (RFQ), manage buying process in coordination with internal stakeholders

- Propose and implement action plans to manage risks.

- Develop and share market intelligence / drivers, supplier's knowledge, technologies evolution, innovation

opportunities.

- Optimize suppliers portfolio according to strategy.

- Negotiate contracts and supply agreements and ensure implementation

- Lead & Manage Suppliers Performance (Quality, Service, Innovation ) giving feedback to the Category for the evaluation (vendor evaluation program),Guaranty performance: risk management, suppliers capacity, quality, Total Cost, sustainability program

- Lead or participate in x-functional projects in terms of cost, quality, service within India Supply points

- Provide accurate information to produce a reliable and aligned PPV estimate or Budget reporting and analyse.

- Develop network with Global buyers, connect with external experts and other industries

- Active involvement in annual budgeting exercise & highlighting cost movements

- Negotiate Raw Material supply contracts, service agreements and ongoing pricing to ensure quality and security of supply at best value.

- Develop appropriate contractual terms and conditions. Execute and manage supplier contracts to ensure compliance as well as maintenance of any certification.

- Develop multiple vendors for Raw Materials for immediate and for imminent requirements, including co-ordinating with QA, R&D and Manufacturing teams as required as per the quality guidelines .

- Develop MIS reports to monitor KPIS such as inventory holding, vendor development initiatives, capacity planning, price trends, supplier reliability report, competitive data, and emerging trends on a regular basis,and circulate report .

- Support NPD launch activities & help project team to get materials on time for project

- Determine the timing placement of Contract and Purchase Order according to the requirement of materials

- Responsible for entire procurement process (Procure to Pay PTP process )

- Proactively provide the RM forecast to the vendors and also highlight to the internal stake holder in case of any foreseen supply constraints.

- Provide support to Marketing, Manufacturing,Co-Manufacturing,R&D, Supply Chain in terms of executing the product trials for NPDs.

- Creating sourcing strategies for specific sub-categories (ingredients, ) Execute significant sourcing projects such as compliance, dual sourcing, local sourcing

- Foster great cross functional and cross cultural collaboration

- Re-structure the supplier portfolio: Identify specific strategic partners and reduce risk exposure

- Active involvement in Material planning along with material planner and highlight long term risk in business

Job Specifications :

Education:

- B. Tech and MBA from reputed institute is preferred
