Mantri Developers - General Manager - Design (10-20 yrs)
Primary Responsibilities :
Strategic
- Survey latest developments and trends in design and architecture and make recommendations for their use in Projects of MDPL
- Undertake market research on a regular basis to identify design consultants and architects of global repute
- Evaluate architects & designers and undertake negotiations with them
- Build capabilities in-house to understand, critique and challenge external designs
Operational
- Review design brief options for proposed projects in collaboration with the Engineering Head/VP - Operations.
- Collaborate with and provide inputs to external consultants, designers and architects for primary design and detailing in line with project requirements
- Critically analyze designs provided by consultants with respect to financial and design feasibility
- Standardize processes across all MDPL projects with reference to practicality of designs and ease of execution of proposed designs
- Analyze & evaluate the impact of changes in design from a regulatory and statutory perspective. Update the liaison team accordingly
Financial
- Evaluate the cost impact of various design options, minimize service costs through effective negotiations with external consultants, designers and architects
- Develop the architectural budget and ensure adherence to the same People
- Conduct performance appraisals on departmental staff / personnel. Assess and fulfill training and career development requirements
- Coach subordinates to develop the team's capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role

Desired qualifications : B. Arch / M. Arch
Desired experience : 15 years experience with at least 10years of experience in project design of Townships, IT Parks, Hospitality and other related areas in the real estate industry
