Job description :
Job Location - Navi Mumbai
Qualification - Bachelor of chemical Engineering from premier institute (IIT Mumbai/Delhi, ICT, some NITs, BITS Pillani and similar)
Experience - 12+ years production/manufacturing experience; Currently playing leadership role in Specialty Chemicals, API Pharma, Agrochemical - Technical grade Batch Process(no blending/formulation units)
Principal Accountabilities :
- Develops, implements and delivers manufacturing schedules/procedures and allocates people and capital resources to maximise productivity.
- Complete responsibility of management of Production and Maintenance activities in all the Plants at the site.
- Provide on-going technical assistance to the Production team to resolve any process / product related problems. This would essentially involve regular investigation and analysis of such product / process related issues and having to make necessary contributions to remedy them.
- Coordinate with Sales, Quality, R&D, Materials department for ensuring smooth achievement of business objectives.
- Commissioning and stabilization of new processes. Transfer of technology from one site to another.
- Selects, organises, trains, and motivates production labour force to ensure consistent attainment of production schedules at optimum productivity and cost levels.
- Plans, prioritises and manages production line(s), maintenance and down times to minimise disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
- Complete responsibility of management of Production and Maintenance activities in all the Plants at the site (LST)
- Development of new products/Processes through development in lab scale initially and scale up in the plant.
- Ensure production as per customer requirements of quality products in timely fashion.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of the plant and targeted uptime.
- Network with other MNC sites and implement procedures to achieve globally uniform product specifications, within the broad guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Operate the plant with full compliance to Site and MNC, EHS standards & guidelines and procedures, as well as those laid down by the local authorities (PCB, DISH and any other regulatory bodies).
- Responsibility for Training & Development of all Production and maintenance personnel at all levels.
- Coordinate with Sales, Quality, R&D, Materials department for ensuring smooth achievement of business objectives.
- Manages processes in a changing environment with consideration for MNC EHS performance for which well-defined procedures and practices exist.
- Initiate and implement plant improvement projects for quality, cost, productivity and safety.
- Trouble shooting and De-bottlenecking of plant problems.
- Exposure to QEHS and lean manufacturing
