MAPICS Developer (5-8 yrs)
Job Description :
- Work closely with the business community to perform technical analysis for designing solutions, evaluating options
- Has responsibility for detailed design, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software in their technical area and toolset. Serves as an IS point person for addressing issues and enhancements related to the specific product, functional and technical area.
- Ability to pull in data from multiple sources using RPG, Access, SQL, Excel, etc. and perform data analysis and output as required for business sponsors.
- Ability to work independently on high complexity designs & programs.
- Ability to facilitate design meetings with users, management and architects.
- Analyzes production issues as necessary to determine the cause of the issue and determine the necessary course of action for resolution.
Skills / Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years of extensive RPG400 and CL programming on an iSeries platform.
- Minimum of 5 years working with the iSeries operating system.
- Minimum of 3 years performing data analysis using different tools such as RPG, CL, DBU, MS Access, SQL/400, MS SQL, Excel, and others.
- Minimum of 3 years working in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience using and maintaining iSeries ERP packages such as KBM, PRMS, BPCS, MAPICS.
- Must have experience in new program development and enhancements to existing systems.
- Strong MS Office skills - Excel, Access, Visio, Word, and Power Point.
- Strong and polished English communication, both written and oral.
