Material Demand Planner - Inventory Management (5-10 yrs)

JOB SUMMARY :
The Material demand planner is responsible for ensuring components and sub-assemblies from Indian suppliers to production sites. As a Material Demand Planner, the major responsibilities will be to effectively manage the demand planning activities for materials and components used in the manufacturing process and would need expertise in the assigned products or commodities. The primary objective of this job role would be daily management of supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation, supplier engagement, and the relentless pursuit of operational excellence and continuous improvement. The role would be global in scope and require cross-functional engagement with plants (including the extended supply chain) and Indian suppliers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Demand Planning :
a. Ensure demand from all plants is supported by suppliers accordingly.
b. Monitor the short- and long-term forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, and coordinate ramp-up and down aligned with demand forecasts.
2. Supply Planning and Inventory Management:
a. Primary interface with global plants to communicate demand requirements, resolve supply issues, and ensure on-time deliveries.
b. Develop supply plans in coordination with suppliers( or material planners) based on demand forecasts, considering lead times, production capacity, and supplier capabilities.
c. Coordinate with global plants' procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components to meet production requirements.
d. Participate in related meetings to review demand forecasts, and supply constraints (capacity, space etc.), and resolve any issues
3. Continuous Improvement and Reporting:
a. Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance demand planning and inventory management.
b. Develop and maintain relevant metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on supply chain performance.
c. Comply with company EHS rules and regulations.
d. Support to set up business processes with each site to enable system managed ordering system as well as ordering pattern, MOQ/MPQ/ Lead time.
4. Additional responsibilities :
a. Management of customs-related work and making sure company procedures are in line with India Outbound Customs policy
b. Assist in set up of export process within the internal department and aligned with India Customs' regulations
Minimum Qualifications :
1. Strong analytical skills in improving business processes as well as system-related supports
2. Familiar with the SAP MM module
5. Familiar with import/export business modules supporting sales through holding companies.
6. To be able to solve logistics situations through satisfactory solutions.
7. Require SAP Skills,material management knowledge, forecast ordering management, and customer service
