Job Tittle : Material Handling Manager

Qualification : (Master degree +5) in hydraulic/ Mechanics

Experience: More than 15 years experience in the metallurgical sector with 8 years in a similar position

Skills:

- Excellent knowledge in material handling equipements

- Knowledge of steel complex layouts

- Knowledge of raw materials and finished goods handling standards and procedures

- Able to identify areas of obstruction / failures and remedial steps

- Continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, 5S ...)

- Strong leadership and decision-making skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Good interpersonal skills

- Good command of English, both spoken and written

- Team management and employee development

Functions description

Mission

- Supervise and coordinate activities of lifting, transporting, storing and loading materials and products by use of conveyors, cranes, hoist or industrial trucks

- Human, financial and material resources management and monitoring-

- Performance monitoring and reporting

Supervise and coordinate activities of lifting, transporting, storing and loading materials and products by use of conveyors, cranes, hoist or industrial trucks

- Applying knowledge of plant layout and material-handling equipment and procedures

- Execute the shipping notices and the requests for movement of raw materials

- Follow-up the warehousing space available to develop schedule for material handling activities

- Coordinate with other departments to organize flow of materials or products

- Participate to the sales and operations committee (S&OP)

- Respect the SLAs (Service level agreements) with the production division and the sales division

Roles & responsibilities :

Human, financial and material resources management and monitoring

- Develop and manage human resources of the material handling direction

- Ensure the implementation of the HSE standards of AQS and animate the teams to make them totally adhere to these standards and adopt the international best practices in health, safety and environment

- Set objectives and evaluate the performance of the team

- Develop and manage the budget of the material handling direction

- Ensure the proper management of the equipment and infrastructure of the material handling direction

- Ensure the implementation of the maintenance program in collaboration with the maintenance manager

Performance monitoring and reporting :

- Prepare periodic reports to the hierarchy

- Set up a Dashboard and monitor performance indicators of water treatment
