Material Specialist (5-20 yrs)
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE 5 YEARS OF MIDDLE EAST/GULF EXPERIENCE IN OIL & GAS INDUSTRY.
KEY POINTS : BILL OF MATERIALS (BOM) & MATERIAL CATALOGING.
The Material Specialist shall perform his duties and responsibilities as per the scope of work and term of the contract.
- Review and Extract the required document to develop Material list from QG TDMS & other sources.
- Do physical verification at site for any missing technical information.
- Contact Vendor/MFR/Supplier for any technical clarification & Equipment spares requirement.
- Provide feedback to End-user enquires related to Materials.
- Initiate Obsolescence issue to Obsolescence Team for their review/feedback.
- Review and Identify the required spares reference to the equipment based on the asset user's requirement.
- Reserve the required material for the Maintenance activities.
- Review and Identify the required spares reference to the equipment based on the asset user's requirement.
- Work in conjunction with RLTO Asset Verification Team
- Create, Review & Process the RSPL's as per QG approval process.
- Coordinate RSPL review with RMES & warehouse team to ensure correct min/max levels as are developed.
- Initiate SAR based on approved RSPL for New Material/ND/DNR/Stock Level Amendment.
- Carry out the preliminary review on Technical Bid Evaluation and coordinate with RMES/Asset User for review and acceptance and amend the changes into SAP.
- Follow-up with supply department to ensure required materials follow through PR/Po and delivery phases of the procurement cycle.
- Follow-up/Clarify with warehouse receiving team on MDR related issues.
- Link the newly created material to the respective equipment - Material BOM.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- Minimum five years- Onsite experience in Oil & Gas industry
- Good written & spoken English language skills.
- Reading & understanding PID, PFD, Layout drawings, datasheets etc.
- Knowledge of field equipment.
- Proficient in use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access.
- Ability to prepare periodic status reports.
- Adequate knowledge of SAP MM functionalities.
- Able to work under minimum supervision.
- Team player.
