Materials Inspector (5-7 yrs)
About the Job
Superior Group is looking for Inspector for our Client located in Minneapolis, MN.
- As part of the Neuromodulator Receiving Inspection Team, support supplier quality assurance inspection activities related to Neuromodulator product to assure conformance to all dimensional requirements and quality specifications.
- Provide technical inspection and testing in a lab environment for production components as received from the supplier.
Responsibilities should show the key accountabilities for the role.
- Inspect In-Process Materials to determine if dimensional requirement meet established specifications such as size, quality and overall appearance.
- Utilize the full complement of fundamental metrology devices including toolmakers microscope and basic hand tools to determine if workmanship and dimensional requirements meet established specifications.
- Fill out appropriate history cards and electronic data, accurately documenting all inspection findings using established departmental systems.
- Work closely with engineering on inspection process development and improvement.
- Work closely with the Chemical Technologies group on parts that are submitted for tests.
- Train new employees when needed.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years- experience in Dimensional inspection.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Work with close tolerance piece parts and gages +/- .0001.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)
- Proficient in the use of basic hand tools for dimensional inspection
- Proficient in the use of Toolmakers Microscope
- Work on multiple projects.
- Team player, good communication skills.
