Mechanic - Repair & Maintenance (10-19 yrs)
About the role :
Your responsibilities include the repair and maintenance of cars, trucks, heavy equipment, tractor/trailers, crawlers and other motor vehicles in the company's fleet, which includes Drill RIGs of Water Well Drilling, Pilling Hole Drilling.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Maintenance & repairs of cars, trucks, heavy equipment, tractor/trailers, crawlers and RIGs (Water Well, Core Drilling & Pilling well Drilling)
- Developing and implementing routine & preventative mechanical/electrical maintenance plans (including oil changes and tune-ups) to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
- Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose malfunctions and breakdowns and repairs accordingly.
- Plans and establishes timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
- Inspecting and checking the drilling equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of vehicles, RIGs, mechanical machinery and equipment.
- Visits job sites to inspect vehicles.
- Maintain the spares parts inventory Control timely update and share the requirements list of Material to purchase team .
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Candidate requirements :
- Minimum high school, ITI, Diploma or equivalent technical certificate from a recognised body.
- Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar industry.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Well-versed in complex mechanical or electrical systems of vehicles & RIGs
- Written and verbal communication skills to communicate in English
- Healthy & physical stamina.
