Mechanical Design Engineer - Robotics (5-8 yrs)
Brief Overview :
The role is to work with the engineering team's mechanical and industrial design functions. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be working on the development of structure, manufacturing designs, performance enhancement (weight, vibrations), and manufacturing readiness of the robots
You will have the opportunity to work on world-class products that are designed and manufactured in India and then shipped worldwide!
What The Work Is Like :
- Lead mechanical design projects for the next generation of housekeeping robots; we take our design very seriously, which has helped the world clean its floors for years
- Understanding the core challenges in design and troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical solutions
- Interface with internal teams to represent the mechanical side for specific projects and align the product design in accordance
- Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly, and/or disassembly of parts and components throughout the product life cycle
- Establish standards across all operational processes; this helps when robots go into production
- Maintain an understanding of JIT, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen, which are critical for handover to the production team
- Take products from R&D to Batch Production and hand them over for mass production
Experience And Skills We Deeply Value :
- It helps to have a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 5 to 8 Years of work experience with at least 3 years of relevant experience in industrial or auto-motive product development
- Seamless competence involving design and engineering simulation software like Solid Works, An-sys, etc.
- Hands-on with manufacturing experience and vendor development (This is the X-Factor!)
- End-to-end development of at least 2-3 major industrial projects (Tell us about it when we speak)

- Dress code is professional when based in the HQ with necessary protective gear when in the assembly area like - overalls, gloves, safety goggles, safety shoes, and other personal protective equipment as necessary
- As part of a fast-growing product startup, you'll spend considerable amounts of time on the floor in planning and devising short and long-term plans on the mechanical design for the product portfolio
