Mechanical Design Engineer - Systems - Thermal Power Plants (5-10 yrs)
1. Design and Development:
- Development of Process Flow Diagrams and P&IDS
- Development of layout and general arrangement drawings using Autocad, SolidWorks, ANSYS.
- Development of design basis reports for mechanical systems in thermal power plants as described above.
- Optimise designs to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure system reliability.
2. Engineering Activities:
- Perform thermal, stress, and fluid dynamics calculations for equipment and systems.
- Analyse mechanical loads, pressure, and temperature effects on materials and structures.
3. Technical Documentation:
- Preparation of technical specifications, design basis reports, and documentation for procurement and manufacturing.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Review of vendor offers and evaluation, and preparation of technical evaluation report,s etc.
4. Coordination:
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical, and control engineers, to integrate mechanical systems into overall plant designs.
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure design requirements are met.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Review of Manufacturing Quality Plans and Field Quality Plans
- Review of Test Certificates and performance test reports, etc.
