Mechanical Designer - Solar EPC (1-10 yrs)
- Design and Development: Create detailed mechanical designs and 3D models for solar structures, including mounting systems, trackers, and support structures. Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Sketchup) to develop and modify designs.
- Analysis and Optimization: Perform structural analysis and simulations in STAAD software to ensure designs meet performance and safety standards. Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.
- Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and manuals. Preparation of detailed BOM for the design prepared and approved. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams, to integrate mechanical designs with other system components.
- Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the prototyping and testing phases of design projects. Analyse test results and implement design modifications as needed.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. Stay informed about new standards and best practices in the solar industry.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design and engineering issues during development and deployment. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and innovations in design practices and tools. Keep abreast of advancements in solar technology and mechanical engineering.
