Mechanical Engineer - Plastics (5-12 yrs)
Job Description:
- Concept design, 3D modeling, 2D-drafting of new product development/Sustenance Engineering for plastic packaging (medical packaging)
- Co-ordinating the development stages for NPI & Sustenance (Capacity Expansion); preparing the product data management, tolerance stack-up, product FMEA, functional analysis and DTM (Design traceability matrix)
- Design verification by independent prototyping, jig/fixture development and metrology & inspection.
- Co-ordinating with Cross-function team for product design finalization and ease the manufacturing of molds and dies by considering molding fundamentals
- Implementing NPI process
Essential Skills -
- Good engineering fundamental knowledge.
- Hands on experience on CAD tools - Solid works
- Hands on experience on plastics part design & manufacturing is mandatory
- Product development process knowledge
- Capability to understand and apply GD&T and Tolerance Stack-up analysis
- Able to work on global product development projects independently
- Good knowledge on Quality tools like GR&R, Capability analysis, Mold validation process
- Good knowledge on drawing Standards (ISO, ANSI/ASME)
- Good communication with stakeholders
Desirable Skills -
- Knowledge on various manufacturing processes like Injection Molding, Injection Blow Molding, Extrusion Blow Molding, Injection Stretch Blow Molding
- Good knowledge in plastic materials properties and selection
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Good planning, communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management and reporting.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Excellent organization skills required to manage small and large projects.
Qualification:
- B.E Mechanical or similar domain with Plastic design/manufacturing experience.
- Candidates with CIEPT, NTTF or similar academic background preferred (not mandatory)
