Medtronic - Supply Chain Planner - Material Management (7-11 yrs)
- Establish inventory targets based on business forecasts, sales history etc. and upload such targets into the SAP planning module - Advance Planning Optimizer (APO) and review.
- Review planning results from APO and coordinate with suppliers wherever there is under/over planning w.r.t. the targets.
- Various stake holders like product managers, regulatory, finance and the suppliers to handle the new product introductions and product phase out activities.
- Regulatory department to resolve issues like Product holds license issues etc. that hamper the material supplies.
- Imports department to facilitate smooth customs clearance of all the shipments.
- Warehouses for the material receiving and inter warehouse stock transfer activities in SAP.
- Customer support team to enable them for timely execution of customer orders and minimizing customer backorders.
- Regularly follow up with suppliers for timely supply of products to India. Work with Supply chain Manager for escalations in case of material shortages.
- Maintain inventory both in terms of inventory value and inventory weeks within the targets defined in operating plan.
- Minimize inventory obsolescence, back orders by taking actions necessary.
- Carry out SAP master data activities like - Material master creation/updates, vendor master creation/updates, inventory target setting / updates etc.
- Present weekly material availability dashboard to Supply Chain Manager and discuss shortages or other exceptions for suitable escalations.
- Present availability schedule against backorder items to business and customer support teams.
- Sales team of assigned Business to update material availability status
- Ensure strict compliance to all legal, regulatory, statutory and ethical norms
