MEP Manager (5-10 yrs)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Manager to oversee and manage the MEP aspects of a prestigious luxury hotel project. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in MEP management within large-scale construction projects, with a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. This is a leadership role requiring exceptional organizational, technical, and project management skills to ensure timely and efficient project delivery according to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
MEP Coordination:
- Manage and coordinate the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with project specifications, local codes, and international standards.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and interior designers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into the overall design.
Project Management:
- Lead MEP-related project scheduling, resource planning, and budget management.
- Develop and monitor the MEP project timeline, ensuring all phases are completed on schedule.
- Resolve design and site execution issues, ensuring that changes are documented and approved.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Conduct inspections and ensure that all MEP systems meet quality standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the testing, commissioning, and handover process for MEP systems.
- Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental guidelines are followed throughout the MEP work scope.
Vendor Management and Procurement:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP management, preferably in the luxury hospitality sector or high-end commercial/residential projects.
- Proven experience with large-scale luxury hotel projects or similar high-end developments.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards.
- Proficient in MEP project management tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, MS Project).
