Merchandiser (Tetron and Canvas Bags industry only)

Job description :

Profile : Merchandiser

Experience : 5 to 10 years

Qualification : Graduate /Masters

To perform merchandising activities for apparel, covering sourcing, order coordination and follow up, to assist in the achievement of team's business objectives.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Tasks coordination and collaboration between the International & India Office. Organize and implement solid systems to optimize a sourcing and global productions.

- Improve and optimize existing projects.

- Direct contact with the headquarters.

- Improve procurement strategies tailored to the origins of production.

- Negotiating with key suppliers to optimize collaboration between headquarters and suppliers.

- Follow up orders with buyers and designers in headquarters, vendors, team members to ensure a qualified order process and on-time delivery.

- Manage product developing process to ensure that products meet brand's quality and budget requirements.

- Maintain and develop strong business relationships with vendors for product development and production.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS :

- At least 10 years of professional experience or 5 years in similar position. Experience and knowledge of Indian market.

- Experience in the textile industry (sourcing, buying, purchase, production).

- Knowledge of costing, market trends, product safety requirements, textile material, garment production, QA and compliance.

- Experience in riding and leading teams and projects.

- Experience in negotiation

- Experience in analysis, budget management Open to travel .

COMPETENCE :

- Good planning and organization skills for developing clear, actionable, and measurable plans, schedules, or priorities with minimal supervision.

- Performance oriented, initiative to take actions for overcoming obstacles and problems.

- Good coordination and cooperation with internal and external parties for the project or problem in the whole process.

- Good negotiation skills to satisfy the interests of multiple parties to maximize the cost-saving for a qualified merchandising.

EDUCATION : Bachelor /Master-degree in textile
