Merchandiser - Supply Chain - Functional Garments (3-8 yrs)
Job Summary:
The Merchandiser - Functional Garments Supply Chain will be responsible for coordinating product development, vendor relations, and inventory management for our functional apparel collections. This role involves close collaboration with designers, fabric suppliers, garment manufacturers, logistics teams, and retail stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of high-performance products from concept to market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development Coordination
- Collaborate with design teams to understand garment specifications, performance features, and required fabric technologies.
- Translate design briefs into actionable tech packs and production requirements for suppliers.
- Assist in sampling and proto-development, ensuring timely feedback loops and quality assessments.
2. Vendor and Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard fabric suppliers and garment manufacturers specializing in functional fabrics (e.g., stretch, breathable, moisture-wicking).
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) to optimize cost and production schedules.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and regularly assess performance in terms of quality, delivery, and compliance.
3. Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Control
- Develop seasonal merchandise plans in alignment with sales forecasts, ensuring adequate inventory levels for each product category.
- Coordinate production timelines and shipment schedules to meet product launch dates.
