General Summary:

- Implementing, Completing and Coordinating of the various activities required to effectively carry out the Mould assembly, slide gate assembly and CNC assembly as per requirement of the production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Reviews production schedules and work orders, and carries out duties assigned by the Casting supervisor.

- To execute proper and timely maintenance for the Casting Section and other assemblies as required by the operation plan.

- To ensure proper and timely maintenance done for the Ladle Slide Gate and CNC Mechanism as required by the operation plan.

- To facilitate and make arrangements for consumables and tools required for CC operation.

- Ensures that all Mould safeties in the machine, mold and equipment are working, abides by the company policy and enforces safety regulations.

- Ensures that Casting Section work area is clean and free of any obstacles or encumbrances.

- Assist in Developing local suppliers for spares and consumables to minimize lead times and optimize stock aimed at optimizing Casting Section production cost.

- Ensures the implementation of Steel Making operational policies covering all areas of Mould assembly section so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a cost effective service to CC operation.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

- To impart training for NDP trainees/ new employees.

- To assist and coordinate with Procurement to develop potential suppliers locally for the tools and consumables required for CC operation

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities (attributes) required:

- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

- Sufficient Technical knowledge of casting and casting parameters

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves)

- Higher Secondary School/ Diplomal

- Any preferred professional training (Nice to have)

- Technical Knowledge of Mould and other assemblies

Professional Experience (Must haves)

- Around 3 Years in a Steel Plant as a Repairman.

Previous Experience/exposure Recommendations (Nice to have)

- Around 3 Years with Steel Industry.

- Ability to cut with oxy-cutting and welding.
