JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE Manager - Logistics
REPORTS TO GM
SUPERVISES Order Fulfilment, Purchase, Inventory Management & Control, SCM Process & Customer Satisfaction
Purpose of the Job :
End to end responsibility for the entire Supply Chain Management function which includes organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods.
Main duties of the Job holder :
- Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
- Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
- Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments.
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
- Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce.
- Conduct inventory audits at branch to ensure physical availability of stocks and adhere of defined SCM policy norms.
- Meet cost, productivity, and accuracy and timeliness targets.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
Policy Development & Implementation
- Formulate procurement policy and norms for purchase and inventory management at corporate/branches.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management policy and procedures.
MIS Reporting and Audit
- Develop suitable MIS/tracking system for monitoring the daily operations and effectiveness of SCM function. Ensure that such reports are sent to GM.
