National Manager - Operations - ValSHIP Business (13-20 yrs)

Key focus Areas for the role are responsible for utilizing your extensive skills, knowledge and understanding of a national business to proactively plan and forecast potential risks and leverage opportunities to offer solutions to achieve efficient and effective operational strategies.
Job Description :
- Manage the operations for our ValSHIP business, which includes door-to-door transportation services of valuable and precious cargo shipments across India.
- Ensure implementation and operationalizing of our Transportation Management System (TMS - Mercury) at all branches and for all shipments.
- Coordinate with Company's IT team for Mercury application enhancements arising out of field operations- requirements from time-to-time.
- Being the focal person for ensuring proper Customer on-boarding and Mercury Master updation for Customer code as well as applicable Rate master updation, in coordination with F&A team.
- Contribute to the analysis of strategic performance and preparation of regional and operational strategic plans and reporting
- Ensure compliance with management directives and statutory regulations
- Assist with the development, streamlining and implementation of new policies, processes and procedures to meet business needs
- Maintain knowledge of industry changes and domestic trends
- Engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives
- Provide input into the annual budgeting process
- Analyze risks and proactive monitoring of internal and external risks
- Identify opportunities that are consistent with the strategy of the business
- Establish appropriate measurement techniques and reporting systems
- Develop operational strategies in anticipation of key business requirements e.g. the forecasting of vehicle / fleet & crew requirements, enhancement of service options etc.
Qualification & Experience :
- Graduate/ MBA with 15 to 18 years of experience in Operations preferably in Logistics / Courier industry.
Other Qualities :
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence senior leaders Ability to work in a fast paced and ever changing environment
- Experience in developing operational strategies and driving change to ensure successful outcomes
- Excellent in Negotiation & Communication Skills
