National Manufacturing Manager (15-25 yrs)
A new and exciting opportunity to be part of the leading FMCG company has arisen for an experienced National Manufacturing Manager. You play a key role in ensuring the continuous success of the plant. You provide focus and leadership to deliver operational goals and efficiency measures in the areas of safety, production, and quality as well as customer satisfaction. As National Manufacturing Manager you report to the Managing Director and you are a member of the local management team.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Continually review the plant performance, working methods and efficiency, ensuring they are in accordance with company standards including safety and environmental standards.
Co-ordinate the activities of the various plant functions to ensure the most effective utilization of resources, materials and people.
Develop, implement and maintain suitable consultative and communication process for all employees.
Ensure that training & development are put into effect and continuously reviewed, revised and maintained.
Ensure the hygiene standards throughout the factory meet Company quality, technical and food hygiene and safety standards in order to meet customer expectations and Company goals.
Implement Six Sigma methods into the plant.
Obtain Black Belt status by utilizing the Six Sigma methods and achieving the project goal.
Your background and profile:
We Expect 15 years of technical experience of which at least 10 years as a manufacturing/plant manager (preferably in a food/beverage company). You have demonstrated solid leadership in managing people and creating and maintaining a teamwork environment. You are able to communicate effectively (both written and spoken) in English. You are a strong leader with a drive to deliver results and the ability to engage people. You are proactive change leader with strong interpersonal skills. Your excellent problem-solving skills are supported by an analytical mind-set.
