New Project Development - FMCG (5-8 yrs)
A leading French MNC is scouting for professionals into the profile of New Project Development.
Position : New Project Development (NPD)
Location : Daman
Reporting To : Chief Quality and R&D Officer
Current CTC of the candidate can be around 10L-12L. Accordingly a decent hike will be offered as per the makret standards.
Industry preference : Candidates coming from a Consumer Durables, Auto background will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities :
Driving New Projects :
- The incumbent is required to drive New project development process at BIC Cello
- Ensure that plants have got the project specifications from R&D / Marketing.
- Ensure that sufficient capacity is available with the plants where the project is planned.
- Take up the matter at appropriate level if new resource/refurbishment in resource is required.
Managing Online Tools :
- Implementation of NPD tools and methods to launch new products within the project parameters
- Pro-efficient with project management tools "
5 Phase Gate Model :
- Conceptualising and desigining the road map for moving new project from idea to launch
- Implementing the Typical 5-gated process flow management (all green flags before moving to next step)
- Arrange project reviews with management as per the frequency.
NPD process :
- Capable to manage multiple projects at once in a fast moving and changing market
- To ensure projects are launched within the quality, time, delivery and safety constraints
- To promote usage of tools for project development (5-gated process, FMEA, product specifications)
- Hands on project development while the organization is being built up
- Cost feasiblity needs to be considered before designing new product
Implementing Processes :
- Follow up with the concerned stakeholders & make sure that everything goes as per the timeline.
- The incumbent role is not just confined to follow-ups, but he will be owning & driving the entire process, thus making the coordination & interaction with other functions more complex
Leadership :
- Coaching the existing team and building bridges between departments interacting on a project
- To ensure all project quality engineers are up to speed and in the loop of the project
- To ensure teamwork between the team
Job Scope :

- Internal R&D to manage the project
- Marketing (initial objectives, price, looks, etc)
- Manufacturing
External Interactions :
(Outside the Organization)
Vendors -- prototypes, production tools, etc.
Job Requirements :
Educational Qualification : Engineering + MBA
Specific Certification (if Any) Knowledge of core tools : APQP, PPAP is preferable
Preferred Total Experience : 5 to 8 years Preferred Relevant Experience
