- Client is seeking two expert Finite Element Analyst who are highly-motivated, enjoy working in a small dynamic team environment and can fulfil the following requirements :
Key responsibilities :
- Structural analysis of mechanical components for various vehicle components
- Perform vehicle dynamics, durability and crash simulations
- Troubleshooting of new and existing designs through stress analysis
- Work in collaboration with design engineers to quickly analyze design concepts and share results
- Provide suggestions on high stress areas
- Experience with modeling of commonly used materials in automotive industry, fasteners and structural adhesives
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering w/ 4-8 years hands on practical experience
- Expertise in linear and non-linear finite-element analysis using both Implicit (quasi-static, linear dynamic) and Explicit (nonlinear dynamic) methods
- More than 5 years experience in Hypermesh for Finite Element model setup for large assemblies including operations like meshing, material properties, boundary conditions etc.
- More than 5 years experience in Abaqus or LS-Dyna modeling full vehicle crash and high G shock loading
- More than 5 years experience in Abaqus involving contact and large deformations
- More than 5 years experience in Abaqus or Nastran with linear dynamics system response (Steady State, Random Response and Modal analyses)
- Familiarity with Linux server based computational environment
- Familiarity with FMVSS crash standards
- Mandatory - Must have worked on Frequency Response Analysis and Acosutic NVH Analysis
- Mandatory Tool Experience - Hypermesh and Nastran
Preferred Qualifications :
- Material testing and parameterization (familiar with material mechanical properties analysis / interpretation/ correlation with FEA model)
- Metal and polymer fatigue
- Experience with scripting for automation of FEA workflows
