Nymble - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Plastics/Consumer Electronics (6-30 yrs)

LOCATION : Bangalore
ROLE :
- You will be an integral and important part of the Mechanical Design Team at Nymble. As a ground breaking product which will define a new category, you will have a challenging role building a complex robotic system with multiple moving mechanisms in a small form factor.
- You would be working with varied motion-related, thermal and structural requirements to bring together different sub-systems into a one seamless product form.
Product assemblies design complex plastic parts for manufacturing in a space-constrained assembly environment with embedded electronics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing manufacturing input for different plastic parts (living hinges, snap-fits, mechanisms)
- Researching and deciding upon different materials required to achieve performance specifications
- Drive DFMEA, PFMEA and design for manufacturability and assembly
- Define and coordinate various production phases, including pre-pilot, pilot and full-scale production runs as required by the project plan.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications :
REQUIREMENTS :
- Proficiency with varied Plastic and Rubber/Silicone Materials with their applications
- 10+ years of experience in Contract Manufacturing in EMC/Consumer Electronics industries.
- Experience with trouble-shooting manufacturing process related issues.
- Experience with all low- and mass-volume plastic manufacturing processes like vacuum casting, injection molding.
