Officer - Casting - Mining/Metals (7-10 yrs)
Department/Project : Casting
Reporting to : HOD Casting
Key Objective / Overall Job Responsibilities :
- Overall responsible for Shift Operations of Casting
- CCM Operation & Process Control including rejections, operating parameters, consumable control
- Inoculation Adjustments and Control on Metallographic properties.
- Mould & Trough Condition Monitoring, Ladle Condition Monitoring, Metal Handling
- Responsible for Shift wise log sheet management, Reporting hourly production, MBF Chemistry report
- Troubleshooting and Analysis
- Manpower Management
- Improvement Initiatives to reduce conversion cost & Improve TPM culture
- Documentation related to Casting
- Departmental Safety KPI's eg. LTIFR, First Aids, Unsafe acts & conditions etc.
Skills Required :
I. Technical Knowledge of Casting Operations of DI Pipe Industry
II. Metallurgical Knowledge on DI
III. Knowledge of Process Flow of DI Pipe
IV. Managerial skills to work in accordance with and manage shift manpower
V. Analytical Skills
VI. IT Knowledge

Key incumbent requirements :
- Diploma/Degree in Metallurgy/Mechanical
- Minimum 3 years of experience for Degree holders & 5 Years for Diploma holders in DI Pipe Industry
Age : 25 to 40 years
Note : Degree in Metallurgy is MANDATORY
Mandatory Skills : Casting, Shift Operations of Casting, CCM Operation, Process control, Manpower Management, TPM culture
Additional Skills : Communication Skills
Experience : 7 to 10 Years
