Job Description
The selected consultant will be required to support for
- Design and Development of Automotive Wiring harness from concept to production working in close coordination with vehicle integrators.
- Benchmarking, Cost Reduction, DFMEA, DFA, DFS
- 3D wiring harness layout creations, routing in Catia for low voltage and high voltage cables
- Clamping bracket/panel design for the w/h and HV cables at suitable locations
- Info fitment drawing preparation
- Preparation of circuit schematics in CHS
- 2D drawing creation
- Support for making prototype vehicles, pre-production & serial production vehicles
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge of design aspects for Automotive wiring harness, GD&T analysis of assembly
Proficient in Computer aided analytical tools to assist in a faster, better and cost effective design. 3D layout and design, Mechanical analysis. CAD - CATIA V5 and CHS hands on experience is preferred
Experience in design of components and related knowledge of material science, tooling requirements etc.
Knowledge of interfacing components to ensure system level design compatibility, robustness, DFA, DFS
- Experience in mechatronics systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of problem solving techniques and design optimization
- Knowledge of verification, testing, regulatory and validation requirements
Reliability techniques awareness
- Should know the regulatory / certification requirements like CMVR, AIS, and ECE etc
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with cross functional team to achieve the required functional / cost / weight /timing & quality objectives.
