Operations Head - Forging Industry (15-20 yrs)
Major Role:
- Owns critical plant P&L drivers like volume, cost, quality, manufacturing efficiencies, capacity utilization, employee headcount
- Provider of critical insights to long term business plans of the company and owner of strategy, business plan and operations of the plant
- Owns client satisfaction on all delivery, new product development and quality parameters
Reporting Relationships:
- Production, Maintenance, Production Planning will report to this position.
Critical Experiences:
1. Experiences of being in a Leadership role in fast growth company
2. Experience of process technologies like Lean, TQM
Major Roles:
- Production Budgeting, Reviewing & monitoring performance & taking countermeasures.
- Championing the customer within the plant and understanding customer needs and providing appropriate solutions quickly.
- Understanding cultural drivers and institutionalizing change, making change happen.
- Soft process technology (like Lean, TQM) knowledge.
- Knowledge of the industry, organization and business processes.
Operational Excellence :
- Ensure key P&L drivers like volume, cost, quality, manufacturing efficiencies, capacity utilization, employee headcount are tracked and achieved
- Create a robust production budgeting and reporting process and MIS and ensure adherence through glass wall reviews
- Accurate & timely insights, projections & recommendations.
- Improvements and absorption of new technologies like Lean and TQM
Desired Candidate Profile
- Candidate must be from Forging Industry.
- Can able to handle & manage plant operations individually & can able to take decisions on time.
- Must be strong in Production, Quality, Maintenance & other process and systems.
Education: UG -B.Tech/B.E.
