Operations Manager - Corporate Events (6-10 yrs)

Job description:
To ensure smooth on-ground planning and execution of events with a passion for pushing the boundaries with new technology and new vendor engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan the event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives & Come up with suggestions to enhance the event's success.
2. Costings & Logistics: Complete ops support to the CS team, right from providing logistics to costs, negotiation etc so as to ensure that they achieve their revenue targets.
3. Ownership: Complete ownership of all events/activations - taking personal responsibility for flawless delivery as per global standards
4. Licensing & permission: Ensuring all the required permissions and licenses are procured at the right cost and delivered to required parties at right time
5. Systems & Processes: Ensuring that all systems and processes are followed and creating/suggesting/implementing best practices that constantly upgrade our operational capabilities.
6. Ensuring that design, execution and production is taking place exactly as per the client specification
7. Vendor Selection & Negotiation: Ensuring that correct vendors are chosen for each of the jobs undertaken at the best possible cost.
8. New Vendor Engagements & Vendor Management. Awareness of the latest inventory maintained by the vendors.
9. Knowledge of new technology in lights, sound, AV, etc. Awareness of the latest elements used in production.
10. Planning: Ensuring that the correct resources are allocated to each project, putting in the right checks and balances to ensure that desired results.
11. Quality: Ensuring that quality achieved from the projects team executes is world class in every aspect and is appreciated by client.
12. Analyse the event's success and prepare reports.
13. Leadership Skills: To be able to guide, motivate and train team to independently handle operations and ensure that team grows to be self sufficient
14. Artist / Supplier Database: Creating an efficient database of Artists / suppliers which is used by all members of the CS & Ops teams nationally

Desired Candidate Profile:
- Educational Qualification: Graduate/ Masters in Event Management/ MBA
- 6+ years of similar experience in Event Management Industry
- Must have event operation and management skills.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Knowledge of business model for events
