Job Description :

Position Title : Operations Manager

Function : The prime responsibility is to ensure Company's operations follow best practices, maintain profitable operation functions, and forecast invoicing accurately for financial and budgeting purposes among other duties listed below.

Dimensions :

Location : Mumbai, India

Region : India

Reports To : General Manager

Direct reports : Estimation, technical support, production and warehouse management, supply chain management.

Working Relationships :

Internal : All Company's Group Staff

External : Customers / Distributors / Vendors

Principal Accountabilities :

- Ensure a culture of best practices is maintained in operations

- Communicate job expectations: planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing of direct reports and departments under your remit

- Ensure activities are being performed in the correct time frames, quality, and budget

- Forecast requirements: invoicing, scheduling, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions

- Enforcing policies and procedures

- Oversee production, productivity, estimation, quality, inventory, vendors, and customer-service standards

- Identifying potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenue

- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures

- Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace

- Oversee audits of the operating quality system

- Communicate customer issues with the operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems, and monitoring complaints

- Work closely with GM and management team to set and implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation

- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews

- Communicate all operating policies and issues at department meetings

- Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, and discipline employees as needed

Person Specification :

Qualification /Experience :

- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, or a similar related field

- 5 years of experience in management and leadership

- 10 years in a manufacturing environment.

- Computer proficiency with various software including MS Office

- Good analytical & organizational skills

- Strong process orientation skills

- Detailed oriented with a proactive and solution-oriented approach

- The ability to work with cross-functional teams

- Presentation skills

- Proficient in English

Preferred :

- Experience in continuous improvement

- Project management experience

- Working knowledge of ISO standards & Quality Management Systems

- Experience in management of change
