Operations Manager - Plastic/Polymer Manufacturing (2-6 yrs)

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Shared responsibility of the profit Center head & Coordination with Head office & factory.

- Achievement of targets related to production, plant efficiency, quality, safety & EHS

- Control Plant Operations, manufacturing expenses and overheads.

- Maximising machinery utilization & production output through Production & Material Planning.

- Overall responsibility of machine & plant maintenance ensuring machine availability above 90%.

- Oversee Preventive and predictive maintenance & track parts / spare requirement.

- Production Scheduling & Raw Material Planning, Estimates quantities of Raw Material required for processing and Intimate Purchase Division.

- To establish and monitor effective systems for ordering sufficient Resources, stock control and rotation of goods and raw materials to meet Production needs.

- Co-ordinate with QC functions to proactively address quality problems

- Dealing with transporters to Schedule delivery of purchased Raw Material and Supplies of Finished products from to plant

- Post Production Activities, Directs, through subordinate supervisory personnel, workers engaged in processing, Packing, Storing, and Supply.

- Identifies the areas of improvement, propose the improvement to management and implement the approved proposals.

- Carries Safety & System audit and ensure its adherence.

- Daily, Monthly & Yearly review of production output, raw and packaging material requirement.

- Ensuring preparation, sharing of monthly MIS and complete utilisation of ERP for PPC.

Requisite Technical & Behavioural Competencies :

- Experienced in Plant operations

- Leadership quality and manpower management, ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills

- Previous experience/strong understanding of budgeting/expense management.

- Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyse data and trends.

- Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.

- Understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies

- Interpersonal Skills, strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills
