Job Summary :
1. Upgrade maintenance processes as per priority for effective health of all equipment
2. Ensure effective and efficient availability of all utilities as per demand of users in three businesses
Responsibilities :
- Guide MEIU teams to modify and upgrade and ready machines to eliminate repeated failures that effect quality, quantity and downtime
- Train MEIU team on the importance and impact of preventive maintenance, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance for equipment reliability and predictability
- Develop and institionalise processes for best maintenance and best repair practices
- Keep abreast, select, absord and execute process protocols to preserve and prevent machines from declining
- Convince Management about the consequences of not following the best maintenance processes / upgrading processes
- Develop maintenance strategy for 3 to 5 years to enhance company competitiveness
- Develop a plan to introduce proactive maintenance model along with preventive and predictive maintenance
Implement best maintenance processes and measure the financial gain which includes :
1) CLRI
2) PM
3) CM
4) PrM o Annual Maintenance
- Develop processes to train people in effective plant lubrication processes and techniques
- Carry out monthly spot checks on randomly selected PMs and repairs for quality assurance
- Make production associate aware of the fact that they are eyes and ears and hands of maintenance. Develop HPPT members to take over upgraded maintenance processes
- Ensure all machines have operator checklists and machine - checks are done properly
- Have the operators perform routine CLRI on equipments
Job Description :
- Prepare schedule of calendar for maintenance of machines and ensure that it is adhered 90% plus
- Design maintenance process and develop people for a breakdown free plant
- Master deep dive processes like vibrations, alignment, balancing and assembly
- Develop and certify vendors to supply spares with defined specifications and tolerance
- Develop 3T SOP for all maintenance process viz
1) PM
2) CLRI
3) CM
4) PrM
Prepare budget for maintenance and track expenses so that they remain with budget
KPIs :
- Breakdown percentage reduction
- Maintain budget adherence
- Maintain Cost Reduction
- People Development
- Reduce number of Quality Failures
Ideal Incumbent Profile :
Qualification : Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation engineer
Age : 34-40
Experience : 20-25 of total years of experience spanning at least 3 sub processes within the same domain
