Pepsico - Officer- Logistics & Distribution (2-4 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse storage and dispatches as per norms following SOPs - FMFO(First manufactured first out), stacking as per norms
During Project Phase
- Work with BU SCM, ware house design consulates for setup of ware house, material handling system
- Coordinate and Supervise installation and setup of warehouse
- Setup of ware house management system.
- Partner with HR to recruit shipping team.
- Partner with HR for designing operating and safety training
- Setup fork lift safety and control system
During Operation phase :
- Supervise in a shift the efficient loading of route and transport trucks.
- Utilize warehouse layout, route truck to ensure FIFO
- Coordinating and schedule the receiving and delivery of empty bottles in a timely manner and loading patterns that minimize truck turn around time.
- Provide timely service of indents while minimizing warehouse cost by maximizing productivity.
- Supervise general labor personnel within loading / Un-loading operation
- Ensure adequate staffing, direction, and discipline
- Utilize the optimal number of hourly personnel to fulfill service requirements while maximizing productivity
- Minimize labor costs while providing timely service
- Ensure AOP numbers on Glass breakage and implementation of initiatives like clean bottle program
- Generate accurate and timely departmental reports
- Maintain an inventory information system to aid in dispatch scheduling and warehouse management
- Provide status report on a daily basis to include costs, loading /transport productivity, and inventory levels
- Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards
- Ensure that all empties and filled goods are properly stored and protected.
- Direct employees in identifying and correcting any unsafe conditions specially by coaching forklift operators.
- Eliminate avoidable accidents and improve plant safety performance
- Train and motivate front-line employees through effective communication
- Maintain formal and informal communication in order to respond to the needs of the individual and the business
- Drive Safety, AIB, food safety, GMP practices in dept.
- Ensure right laudability to optimize freight cost
- Ensure right load size (LCV/HCV) is sent to respective distributor
- Ensure delivery of desired productivity of manpower and forklift
- Ensure minimal damages
- Ensure no write-off by following up with PAC and ensuring FMFO
- Ensure support to line productivity by continuous feeding of empties, pallets
- Manage transporters
- Deliver desired customer service (Order Service Time)
- Minimize detention of vehicles
- Ensure no variance in stocks
Key Skills/Experience Required - specific education/certification, specific functional experience, language etc Needed for the job.
Experience and Qualification : M.Com/ Diploma - Materials Management with at least 4-6 year of experience preferably in FMCG environment
