- As a Performance Validation Engineer for EV Heavy Duty Truck Application, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Senior Validation Engineer and other vehicle engineering functions to define performance targets for components and vehicles.

What you will do:

- Developing performance validation plans and execution strategies to ensure the achievement of performance targets

- Setting up and maintaining test benches or labs for performance testing, including acquiring necessary equipment and resources

- Working with external labs or agencies to execute performance tests, ensuring timely and accurate results

- Analyzing test data and results to evaluate the performance characteristics and identify areas for improvement

 -Collaborating with design and development teams to provide input on performance-related design considerations and recommendations

- Maintaining good knowledge and connections with external labs or agencies for efficient test execution and validation

- Working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the availability of required test equipment and facilities

- Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians during performance validation activities

- Participating in the resolution of performance-related issues by conducting preliminary root cause analysis and proposing effective solutions by working with the CFT members

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (CFT) to ensure the integration of performance targets and validation plans into the overall vehicle development process

- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations related to performance testing and validation

- Staying updated with the latest advancements and best practices in performance testing and validation methodologies

- Continuously improving performance validation processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

What you need to have :

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred

- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in performance testing and validation, preferably in the automotive or heavy-duty truck industry

- Strong understanding of performance targets and requirements for components and vehicles

- Proficiency in developing performance validation plans and execution strategies

- Experience in setting up test benches or labs for performance testing

- Proven ability to work with external labs or agencies to execute performance tests

- Good knowledge and connections with external labs or agencies for efficient test execution and validation

- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to performance testing and validation

- Familiarity with test equipment and facilities used for performance testing

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze test data and results effectively

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

- Knowledge of automotive or heavy-duty truck systems and components is highly desirable

- Experience with vehicle-level performance testing and validation is a plus

- Ability to deal with ambiguity and systems approach to work
