Photom Technologies is a leading cleantech company specializing in autonomous robotic solutions for solar PV maintenance. Our cutting-edge, waterless robotic cleaning systems optimize solar panel efficiency, reduce operational costs, and promote sustainability. We are expanding our engineering team and seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive innovation in our robotic systems.
Job Responsibilities :
1. Product Design & Development: Design and develop mechanical components for robotic cleaning systems, ensuring high efficiency and durability.
- 3D Modeling & Simulation: Create detailed CAD models (using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software) and perform structural analysis (FEA, CFD) to validate designs.
2. Prototype Development & Testing: Build and test prototypes, analyze performance data, and refine designs for scalability and efficiency.
Material & Manufacturing Selection: Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes (sheet metal, injection molding, CNC machining) to optimize cost and performance.
3. Automation & Mechanism Design: Develop robotic mechanisms, actuators, and motion control systems to enhance automation.
4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with electronics, software, and operations teams to ensure seamless product integration.
5. Performance Optimization & Cost Reduction: Improve system efficiency, reduce weight, and enhance durability while keeping production costs low.
6. Compliance & Safety Standards: Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements for reliability and environmental impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or robotics (preferably in automation, cleantech, or renewable energy).
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
- Experience in FEA analysis, thermal & structural simulations, and material selection.
- Strong knowledge of kinematics, mechanisms, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, 3D printing, and testing methodologies.
- Problem-solving mindset with a passion for innovative, sustainable solutions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work in a cross-functional environment.
