Job Description :

One of our esteemed clients, is a Calgary-based EPCM firm. It is a market leader in oil and gas processing specializing in facilities design, implementation and operational assistance for natural gas, conventional and heavy oil projects. Our clients include several of the largest oil & gas producers in Canada and worldwide, and is currently executing a wide range of sweet gas, sour gas, conventional oil, heavy oil facility and pipeline projects is looking for Piping Designers at different levels

Summary :

- The Piping Designer is responsible for the preparation of all process, piping and mechanical deliverables in the Drafting and Design Department. 

These include BFD's, PFD's, MSD's, P&ID's, Plot Plans, General Arrangements, Equipment Layouts, Isometrics and associated 3D models.

Key Responsibilities :

- Preparation of 3D models using Intergraph CadWorx and Bentley AutoPlant 3D software.

- Preparation of design drawings such MFD's, PFD's, P&ID's, Plot Plans, Piping General Arrangements. Equipment Layouts and Isometrics.

- Bill of materials generation.

- Review of drawings and designs for accuracy, completeness and consistency.

- Participate in internal and external 30/60/90 model reviews.

- Adherence to electronic filing system, folder structure and file management.

- Regular meetings with the Piping Design Lead to ensure all project requirements are being met.

- Effectively communicate the status of tasks, design changes and continuous improvement items to the rest of the design team.

- Maintain proficiency with the most up to date software.

- Develop mutually beneficial relationships with team members and project personnel.

Key Skills :

- Design layout of Piping systems.

- Preparation of 3D models using Intergraph CadWorx and Bentley AutoPlant 3D software.

- Preparation of design drawings for the various disciplines in the company, including Process, Piping and Mechanical.

- General training and guidance of design drafting personnel.

Education and Qualifications :

- Engineering or Diploma - Design and Drafting (Piping)

- 5+ years of EPCM experience.
