Position Title : Senior Manager/AGM

Reporting To : Chief Executive Officer
Pay range : 15 to 20 LPA (depending upon experience)
Mode : Work from office
Location : Madurai, Tamil Nadu
Key Purpose Of The Job (Position Summary) :
- The position is responsible for leading the Quality function and driving the overall focus on Quality systems and processes. The role-holder is also responsible for inculcating a Quality culture in the company. The position acts as an evangelist for quality across all functions and focuses on continuous quality achievement and improvement initiatives across the organization, identify quality risks and evaluates and minimizes their potential impact on the organization.
Education And Experience Required :
Experience : 15 + years of experience in Quality or manufacturing and around 6 years experience as a Quality Head preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Improvement in the QA system at the outsourcing partners' & suppliers end

Key Activities & Responsibilities :
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the quality function.
- Develop all strategies, policies, procedures, and systems related to the Quality function to meet the continuous improvement needs, growth needs of the organization and build a Quality culture in the company
- Ensure that internal processes and metrics are aligned to create the highest product quality
- Ensure proper interface of quality function to Sales, R&D, and Operations and buy-in for key quality initiatives
- Develop plans for initiatives to be undertaken to enhance quality in discussions with the Plants and other functions.
Quality Management :
- Design the overall quality management program for the company.
- Develop the overall program for enhancing quality across the Plants in discussion with the Head of Operations, Head of Plants and other key departments and define the specific initiatives to be taken.
Responsibilities :
- Develop the overall plan & oversee the implementation of strategies for quality control.
- Benchmark the company product quality vis-- -vis domestic and international products to identify areas of improvement and incorporate them in the Quality Development Plan.
- Design the Quality Policy for the Outsourced units and ensure effective implementation of the same.
- Define rating standards for evaluation of outsourced vendors / mixing vendors together with R&D and SCM.
- Ensure implementation of quality systems like ISO, OHSAS, and customer-specific standards across the Plants, and monitor compliance with the same.
- Provide technical advice regarding compliance with relevant quality standards and quality tools to departments like Sales, R&D, and Operations.
- Develop and maintain Quality Manuals with standard operating procedures and review them from time to time.
- Conduct internal audits to ascertain adherence to Quality systems and take corrective action in conjunction with the Head of Operations and Head of Plants, where required.
Quality Operations :
- Develop and manage Quality Assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams.
- Track customer complaints and liaise with Sales, R&D, and Production to analyze and address issues.
- Work towards reducing customer line rejections through regular detailed analysis.
- Ensure regular communication with Plant Heads and Production teams in the Plants for awareness of quality issues across all departments.
- Make recommendations for improving overall quality and solving chronic problems.
- Ensure appropriate quality training is done.
- Monitor and ensure improvement of the QA system at outsourcing partners & suppliers.
Quality Training :
- Develop appropriate quality training programs for all levels.
- Initiate development and certification of the internal team to conduct regular quality training toward building a culture of TQM.
- Spread awareness of TQM across all functions and create continued interest in adopting TQM.
Systems and Process :
- Monitor QA/QC systems and advise the team on system performance; publish statistics regarding performance against set goals.
- Track the quality reports generated by the team to identify and track deviations.
- Ensure adherence to Quality systems such as ISO 9001, OHSAS, etc.
- Support new product development and continuous improvement by integrating Quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes.
MIS :
- Control and monitor Quality indicators on a regular basis - daily, weekly & monthly.
- Provide timely MIS to senior management on issues related to Quality on a regular basis and suggest methods to manage the issues effectively.
Team Management :
- Build a team for the function.
- Mentor, and provide operational leadership and technical guidance to the team, thereby developing a strong and competent team.
- Conduct effective performance appraisals for the team and identify training needs.
- Motivate, counsel, and coach employees to ensure a conducive working environment.
