We have an urgent requirement for ALMARAI Company.

Position : PLANT FEEDS MANAGER - SOYABEAN PROCESSING.

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB : -

To manage the production of Soya Pass, Soyabean Meal, Soyabean Oil, Soyabean hulls and Soyabean gums are of the requisite quality and at optimum cost by the implementation of the highest standards of production and quality and adherence to good management principles and practices.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (AOR) SUCCESS INDICATORS :

1. Provide the required levels of good quality Soya Pass, Soyabean meal, Soyabean Oil, Soyabean hulls and Soyabean gums while keeping costs as low as possible by utilizing all resources within his control to develop the business to its fullest potential.

2. Develop his team by training, mentoring and coaching to ensure that a suitable level of skills is available to operate the plant and facilities at all times.

3. Ensure to safeguard and maintain the Soyabean processing Plant assets and equipment to meet operational demands of the business.

4. Motivate his staff to achieve ever-greater levels of efficiency in all aspects of their work.

5. Manage and develop the ISO 9001- 2008 and ISO 14001 - 2004 Quality Management System and PME Certification to allow retention of Certification and to enhance the quality ethos on the site.

6. To ensure that Almarai Health and Safety standards are met in all activities taking place on the site to ensure that a

1. Achieve 100% of Farm requirement for Soya Pass, Soybean meal, Soyabean oil and Soyabean gums at or below the budgeted costs and at the correct time.

2. Development of team skills at the required level.

3. All assets maintained in good order to achieve optimum results.

4. Harmonious working relationships in all areas.

5. Certification retained and continued Assessments passed

6. Achieve more than the set target of Safety Audit scores and stay below incident reduction targets safe working environment is provided for all employees.

- To prepare, in conjunction with the Div. Feeds Processing Manager, a capital and revenue budget for the coming year for approval of GM Farming.

- To prepare a weekly production plan from requisitions supplied by farms.

- Review and approve Weekly Flash reports on the financial performance of the site.

- Ensure all materials produced on site are analyzed as per the Quality assurance program.

- Manage and control inventory of all stocks, spares and supplies.

- Manage and assess the performance of his staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they and their unit achieve the required level of performance.

- To ensure that his staff are trained, mentored and guided to develop their skills to they are fullest potential.

- To liaise with PFM support staff to improve the efficiency of his Unit and thereby increase the profitability of the unit.

- To review the physical and financial performance of the plant on a weekly basis with the Div. Feeds Processing Manager .

- To prepare capex justifications for any capital projects proposed for processing plant.

- To manage the working conditions, remuneration packages, and entitlements of all staff in the plant in accordance with company policy.

- Plan and coordinate annual leave for all staff while ensuring adequate production staff to cover the production at all times.

- Ensure that the provisions of the FMD policy are implemented on his site at all times.

- Ensure that company Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times.

JOB FEATURES :

JOB DIMENSION (Quantifiable job features E.g. Volumes handled, Revenue and budget size (labour and overhead), No. of subordinates, No. of Suppliers, No. of Customers served, Variety of functional areas handled)

Yearly production as per below:

- 100,000 mt of Soya pass.

- 30,000mt of Soya Bean Oil.

- 15,000mt of Soyabean Hulls and about 500mt Soyabean gums.

- Sample analysis reports for above materials as per standard protocol set by QAS.

- Monitoring inventory of above materials, logistics and requirement at all Almarai Company locations

- 50 men working in plant.

- Budget is about 300,000,000 SAR.

- JOB CONTEXT (Circumstances characterizing the job: Working hours, location, stress, physical working conditions, resources available)

- Work is an 8-hour workday from 6 am to 4 pm with 1-hour for breakfast and 1 hour for lunch.

- Time is flexible and always on-call as per production requirement at the plant.

- From 30 - 20% of the time will be office work on planning production, budgeting and financial targets and majority of the time in plant.

- The job demands good organizational skills with a working knowledge animal feed production and allied equipment.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

- INTERNAL (Superiors, Peers, Subordinates, other business units) EXTERNAL (Suppliers, Customers, Service Providers etc.)

- Superiors: Div. Feeds Processing Manager and Feeds Manager.

- Peers: Premix Production Manager and Flaked maize Plant Production Manager.

- Subordinates: All Soyabean Processing plant staff.

JOB SPECIFICATION

ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE

- Bachelor in Science with Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

- BSc in nutrition for livestock

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE

- 10 years Experience in similar industry

- COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills and Attitude - Technical, Operational, Managerial, Human & Cultural Requirements)

- Knowledge of properties and quality of feed raw materials.

- Knowledge on managing hazardous chemicals and pressure vessels used in the plant.

- Budgetary understanding

- Sampling techniques and handling of samples

- Strong Leadership Skill

- High level of project Management Skill

- Analytical abilities

- Must have good man management and influencing skills and be a good communicator.

- Strong and good track records of problem solving skill

- Well-developed planning skills.
