Plant General Manager - Gypsum Board (15-20 yrs)

Position: Plant General Manager
Location: Tanzania (East Africa)
Job Profile:
The position will be responsible for:
1. Rehabilitate and subsequently scale up the Gypsum Board Mfg. plant which is closed for last couple of years.
2. After the Plant is stabilized, oversee the daily operations of a gypsum board manufacturing plant.
3. Oversee the entire manufacturing process to ensure production targets are met.
4. Develop and implement production schedules to optimize efficiency & Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and cost & Ensure that the gypsum board products meet or exceed quality standards.
5. Implement quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives address and resolve any quality issues promptly
6. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, engineers, and other staff.
7. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback & Ensure the plant complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
8. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
9. Develop and manage the plant's budget & analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
10. Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
11. Plan and coordinate equipment upgrades or repairs & work with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
12. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions & Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other best practices.
Desired Candidates: B. Tech (Mechanical) with 15+ years of experience in managing Gypsum Board Manufacturing plant.
