Plant Head - Cosmetics Manufacturing (7-10 yrs)
Job Profile :
- To drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.
- To oversee all daily operations of the plant from production, manufacturing, R&D, Quality and ensurance of policies and procedures being followed.
- The candidate should have the key skills to develop, implement and control processes that will maximize stewardship; safety, quality, productivity at the same time lower costs at an overall plant level.
Responsibilities :
- Plan, organize, direct and implement day to day factory operations such as production, manufacturing, QC, QA, Inventory Control, HR, Accounts, Training, dealing with various Govt. Dept. etc.
- Increase production efficiencies, asset's capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards, while striving to improve overall GMP standards.
- Leading and monitoring a highly skilled team of HOD's and guide them to meet their targets.
- Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
- Ensure site compliance status through various corporate audits.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Ensure environmental safety as well as protection in and around the plant.
- Coordinate with different departments within the factory and make sure proper discipline is implemented / followed.
- Implement strategies in alignment with corporate strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Monitor operational hazards and trigger corrective actions.
- Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff through training and proper KLA's.
- Fulfill vacant positions by timely recruitment via placement agencies.
- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste, overtime, cost outruns and implement ways of controlling it.
- Responsible to adhere a fixed budgets set by HO and plan CAPEX based on forecasting.
- Implement production plans initiated by HO at plant level and be accountable for timely deliveries.
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Address employee's issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements with support from HO HR.
- Stay up to date with latest technologies, WHO- CGMP practices, QA process, latest production management, best practices and concepts.
- Reporting to corporate / HO on weekly / monthly / daily basis via MIS reports etc.
- Visit HO monthly / on need basis.
- Handling FDA, Industries Dept., Pollution Dept., Labour office and also dealing with them though in-house govt. liaison staff.
- Assess the health, well-being and physiographic analysis of key people (especially HOD- s) in the plant and corrective actions.
- Be a Management Representative in various audits like ISO, GMP etc.
- Play an instrumental role in setting up / overhauling and implementation of systems with SOP's in all departments.
- Monitor daily / weekly production and do root cause analysis in case of deficiencies and take corrective actions there on.
Required skill:
- Degree in Business Management/ Pharmacy Science or related field. (MBA / BBA or MSC / BSC with 1st class Division).
- Proven Managerial Experience.
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, development, human resource, finance, etc.)
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory and stewardship processes.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead as example.
- Strong team building, Decision-making and people management skills.
- Good initiator, self-motivated, good leadership skills.
- Strong & Flexible.
- Experience: 7 to 10+ Years in FMCG cosmetics / Pharma industry.
