Job Title / Designation: Plant Head/ Factory Manager
Job Description:
Mature and well educated candidate with good production experience and has the capability to run a whole factory and has a clear view on management principles. A self-motivated individual who can hit the ground and start taking responsibilities. Capability to work under pressure and has prior experience of handling multiple departments and of reporting to the Board of Directors.
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations of the factory.
- Conduct daily morning meets with all department heads and ensure key deadlines have been set.
- Set strategic action plans per week to ensure production meets its deadline, purchase brings in materials, inventory is managed by the stores and quality output meets the highest standards.
- Implement set strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to the team.
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards. Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time dispatch. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Make key decisions to solve daily issues with all departments.
- Liaise with design team to produce on time delivery of designs and ensure that production has no issues with the design and it's approved for production.
- Lead all new product development projects with the team.
- Manage all procurement of raw materials with the purchasing officer and ensure all materials reach the factory on time for production.
- Conduct weekly review with Purchasing and Stores to ensure all buffer stocks are replenished and prices of goods are set in stores for controlling stock report.
- All existing purchase contracts have to be negotiated and renewed.
- Manage purchasing division's budget and set targets to reduce expenses.
- Lead the quality team to ensure timely check on all phases of production.
- Conduct weekly review with Quality department to ensure internal and external NC are reported, re-work ratio is reduced and quality standards are met.
- A weekly review is conducted with the production department and a production MIS of the same is reported to the Director.
- Admin is managed to ensure all compliances are in place and are reported to concerned authorities on time.
- Responsible for recruitments, training, personnel development and appraisals of all workers and staff.
- Develop staff and workers by initiating people engagement programmes to motivate and improve the morality of the staff.
- Develop systems and processes that track the development of each department's performance.
- Commit to factory safety procedures and ensure all workers and staff adhere to company safety policies.
- Address employees- issues or grievances.
- Present daily department wise updates to the Director.
Key Functions & Roles of the Candidate: Ensuring clear day to day running of the factory, coordinating among various departments and clear bottle necks among, Production, Quality Control, Design, Stores, Purchasing and Admin.
Specific Skill Set: Managerial Skills, Analytical Skills., Engineering Knowledge (precision manufacturing area preferred), People Management Skills, Decision Making,
Minimum/Maximum/ Work Experience Required: 8+ years
Annual CTC: 8-10 Lakhs
Location(s) of Job: Bangalore: Bommasandra, Near Electronic City - Bangalore
Minimum Education Requirements: B.E Engineering + MBA (preferred but not essential)
No of rounds of Interviews: 1 telephonic and 2 face to face
Work Timings: 8.30 am - 5pm

Languages: Kannada, English, Hindi.

b. Experienced in handling multiple departments and has prior experience reporting to the board of Directors.
c. Must have at least 10 plus years of management and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with progressively responsible positions in manufacturing or engineering. Must have strong commitment to EH&S, Quality, and a Customer focus. Must have Excellent Communication Skills and reporting skills. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other Continuous Improvement tools and culture is a plus.
d. Ability to influence, negotiate, and problem solve.
e. Demonstrated project management experience.
f. Excellent Safety Performance, attention to detail, proactive and able to self-start.
g. Candidate must have good working knowledge of Microsoft office and windows.
