Plant Head/GM Head - Manufacturing/Factory (0-10 yrs)
Key Task - :
- Provide leadership for overall manufacturing function. Responsible for achieving organizational goals related to sales & production/process cost (wrt business plan).
- Provide guidance for manufacturing activities in the most cost effective and efficient manner in line with the organizational policies and procedures/systems.
- Manage customers effectively & resolve grievances on priority. Ensure no customer complaints are escalated to the top Management due to supply/quality/rejection/delivery etc
Job Profile - :
1) Communication:
External:
Reply customer mails on priority. Ensure customer gets the prompt feedback from concerned departments regarding delivery, quality, CAPA, Quantity, audits, visits etc.
Internal:
Maintain update communication with internal departments. Provide on time reports to Management in the given format & frequency (daily/ weekly/ monthly)
2) Leadership:
- Set vision for overall growth & provide leadership to achieve organizational growth.
- Coach & develop HODs/employees & improve the knowledge level of Organization.
- Set up performance driven culture in the organization.
3) Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Monitor the ongoing progress of all departments and make necessary improvements.
- Ensure internal departmental reviews are conducted as per daily/weekly/monthly schedule & prepare development plans.
- (Daily - opening meeting. Review of OEE of molding & mixing, down time in plant, internal rejection, customer complaints, delivery schedules, other issues)
- Weekly -Production plan vs. actual / Departmental output w r t target, VE review, 1S-2S, and Kaizen review.
Fortnight - TPM review (plan vs. actual)
Monthly - a. MRM (KPI review all departments under you)
Participate in the Top Focus group and take part in the organization
Development initiatives.
4) Benchmarking & Themes Implementation: Take part in the benchmarking project and implement various themes in the plant (Theme for 2016-17 - Zero carbon discharge).
5 ) People Management : a. Recruitment & selection of quality talent
Performance Appraisals
Training & Development of employees
6) Compliance of work systems/internal audits
7) KPI: As per attached sheet.
Summary - Achieve production Target wrt Marketing schedule / maintain process cost wrt management target / customer PPM less than 50, Internal rejection less than 1.5%., ensure cost saving initiatives (as per given targets).
8) Ensure to meet development target.
9) Responsibilities:
- Plant output w r t management target /business plan / plant up-gradation time to time wrt business plan.
- Visits to plants (Ambi & Hose) 2/3 times in a week..
- Optimum utilization of man, machine, material, maintain cost w r t management target
- All department output target wrt management target
- To attend all customer meetings related to plant and report to management.
- Maintain QMS / TPM in plant.
- Presentation at customer end as and when required.
10) Approval Authority:
- You can recommend/authorize the following expenses/approvals required to perform your function promptly.
- Manpower (Blue collar) within the target given by management & w r t production plan./ sanction of OT in plant / Leave card of people under you.
- Production plan / work order approval in ERP.
- BOM of product/ process, compound / MSP / cycle time of any operation / new product handover. Recommendation of any new system or format
- Additional requirement of staff / replacement or transfer of employee, in consultation with Plant-head.
- Pre approval of vouchers related to mfg dept. cash expenses & IOU. / Customer debit note authorized and forward to plant head.
- Sign capital purchase indents recommendation / GRN approval for capital purchase.
- Can recommend new policy & motivation plan to management.
- Define resp. & authorities to all staff under you.
- Feasibility review of new product.
