Plant Head - Machine Tools/Special Purpose Machine (15-20 yrs)
About the group : Its a group of engineering companies engaged in the design and manufacture of precision machined auto components and assemblies since 1989. With production facilities in Bangalore & Pune, The product list includes gear box housings, under bracket assemblies, aircraft components and other precision machined components.
Position : Plant Head (Machining, Machine Tools or Special purpose machine (SPM) )
Location : Bengaluru
Job Role : Overall responsibility of Plant Operations.
- Responsible for P/L as independent cost centre, Responsible for Production & Planning to ensure that the production is achieved as per the target
- Work with the Directors to idea on and implement innovative change (in people, process & technology) to streamline the organization and improve production,Handle the workforce independently.
- Motivate, train and develop a team of technical staff
- Should have good experience in mass production of automobile components
- Strong background in machining, Should be conversant with usage of modern cutting tools and optimum use of machines CNC (VMC, HMC) and Special Purpose Machines
- Should be conversant with the best practices in the auto industry particularly in the areas of QCD.
Specific skill sets : The incumbent should be strong in MACHINING, SPM, Machine Tools
Preferred Qualification & Education
- Requires a Diploma / Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 15 - 20 years
- Knowledge of SPM's GPM'S VMC's & CNC Lathes
- Requires broad technical or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
