Objective -
The Plant Head directs, manages, and coordinates all activities associated with plant Operations. This position is responsible for efficient and economical manufacturing of company products in conformance with established goals and objectives.
JOB Responsibilities :
- Plan, organize and direct the organizational resources to ensure the achievement of Plant objectives
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- Collaborate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Review established production schedules for manufacturing to ensure established inventory levels are met, while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
- Work closely with the quality control team to review product consistency and focus on areas of continual improvement.
- Ensure robust preventative maintenance mechanisms/programs are being followed at the plant and arrange for necessary approvals for replacement/ procuring of plant equipment when necessary
- Monitoring the expenses periodically to maintain superior cost efficiencies at the plant
- Ensure safety programs are being followed at the plant that results in providing a safe workplace for all stakeholders
- Identify and review required Human resources along with HR & seek approvals from Segment Head
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of various teams in the plant
- Conduct periodic reviews with department heads at the plant and report data on overall plant operations/performance to the Management.
- Ensuring harmonious relationships with employees and maintaining high morale in the Plant
- Direct and coordinate various programs essential to continual improvement of the manufacturing process (e.g., training, safety, quality, cost optimization, employee engagement, etc.).
- Initiate and coordinate major projects, as and when necessary (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.)
- Lead project management for all operating sites for Capex, Cost optimization, SHE/Statutory and major Opex projects at the manufacturing plant.
- Participate in all learning awareness sessions/CCPS elements training sessions which are conducted by external experts OR Internal competent persons.
- Participate in all AIPS committee meetings and incident investigations.
- Coordinate for AIPSM self-assessment and external assessment.
- Responsible for SOP violations and process documentation gaps related to Process safety. (PTW/ERP/PPEs Matrix)
- Participate in drills internally and externally with nearby industries.
- Conduct AIPSM self-audits on a regular basis and submit the reports.
- Hazardous waste material compliances and record maintenance. (dispose to competent authority).
- Participate in process safety related incident investigations.
- To Support all the GAP analysis for AIPSM & closure of critical observation.
