We are looking to hire Plant Head for Mumbai location ( Plastic division) . Looking candidates worked midsize organization and above not lesser than 500 Crores company

JOB TITLE - PLANT HEAD INDUSTRY - PLASTIC

LOCATION - MUMBAI / DAHEJ EXPERIENCE - 25YEARS PLUS OUT OF 05 YEARS AS UNIT HEAD

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION BE/B. TECH POLYMER/MECHANICAL, PREFERABLY WITYH POST GRADUATION IN MANAGEMENT FROM A RECOGNIZED/REPUTED INSTITUTION.

REPORING TO - MANAGING DIRCTOR AGE - BELOW 50 YRS,

CTC - AS PER INDUSTRY STANDARD

ROLE - TO ENSURE SMOOTH FUNCTION OF MANUFACTURING PLANT- S DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Overall responsibility and accountability for the Manufacturing and Production function, which will include people and budgetary management. Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels and driving operational excellence.

Experience and traits:

- Effective leader in leading team of officers and workers for achieving production and productivity targets in the safest possible manner and to the highest quality standard while satisfying customer needs to stay ahead of competition.

- In depth experience of plastic processing consisting of injection molding, blow molding, extrusion preferably of PE and PPCP group of plastics,

- Process automation including on-line testing, printing, finishing and packing of plastic products.

- Injection/ blow mold design and maintenance.

- Headed production and maintenance function for a period of 5 years.

- He should have worked in medium or large size company as unit head or profit center head for a period not less than 5 years responsible for production, productivity, safe plant operation, profitability and customer service.

Strategy and Development:

- Overall responsibility for manufacturing activities across the business.

- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our expectations

- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results

- Create and implement best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.

- Ensure that manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market

- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities

- Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process

- Report on Manufacturing activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators

- Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes, components and manufacturing techniques

General and Task Management: -

Lead, develop and implement variable cost productivity programs across all areas of responsibility

- Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, regarding technical support for activities, striving for best in class products and business practices to deliver to the customer's expectations, managing teams and projects across the business.

- Coordinate team activities to optimize cost performance of the plant through capital investment programs, optimizing operating working capital usage and minimizing waste through the development of a continuous improvement culture encompassing lean principles and clear strategic development

- Develop and manage master production schedule and operations budgets for products to directly support and ensure that the product is delivered to agreed cost, quality and timelines

- Plan and execute maintenance activity to ensure plant is kept safe and compliant

- Developing environmental strategies that impact on future ways of operating and ensure implementation where possible

- Use of technological systems that support a more environmentally friendly approach - Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures

- Develop & Commit to plant safety procedures

People Management: -

Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions

- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime

- Set department objectives including KPIs and monitor ongoing progress and performance

- Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements

- Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables

- Have dealt with unions for long term settlement and experience in handling Industrial Relations, labour law etc.

- Address employee's issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements and report to Head Office

Skills and Attributes: -

Strong team building, decision-making and people management skill

- Working experience in medium or large size company as unit head or profit center head for a period not less than 5 years.

- Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels

- Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development

- Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against the deadlines

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing, analytical skills and problem solving abilities
