Plant Incharge - F&V Operations (4-10 yrs)
As a Fresh Produce Plant Operations Manager (F&V), and Plant-in-charge, you- ll be responsible for the daily coordination, improvement and execution of all fresh produce (Fruits & Vegetables) processing / manufacturing operations; overseeing production, planning, quality control and maintenance. You will also be accountable for cost management including equipment efficiencies, waste, direct labour and materials, whilst generating reports on these financial targets and other KPI's.
Goals :
1) Delivery and Adherence to Technical and quality standards for the Bengaluru Plant site from field to finished product.
2) Will be one of the key customer contacts for safety and quality matters, specifically exceeding our customer (QSR chains) process and product specifications, quality measures, food safety and regulatory requirements.
Duties :
1) Lead, influence and guide the plant-operations through quality process improvement, customer compliance & regulatory adherence
2) lead and develop the technical & hygiene team to achieve over-arching objectives of quality & safety within the business
3) Identify quality and food safety improvement opportunities & drive product safety innovations
4) Interact and lead customer communications, partner with relevant stakeholders and external parties to proactively manage and resolve quality related matters
5) Execute quality/technical activities & requirements according to Plant's technical budget, financial cost control management for function and site quality related expenditure
6) Monitor & improve quality processes & customer expectations through continuous training & development of teams
7) Deliver best practice quality & food safety compliance (FSSAI) and HACCP standards & drive continuous improvement of the site 'foreign body' removal system
8) Conduct both internal and external technical audits/visits & manage customer technical interactions & expectations
9) Report audit results and implement new/existing activities to critically analyse and improve quality/safety gaps for entire site
Skills & Experience :
1) Experience and qualifications in Fresh Produce (F&V) from farming inputs, to procurement to cold-chain management, to processing into finished products, with an academic background/ qualifications in Agriculture or Foods
2) Technical experience in managing fresh chilled produce and short shelf life products
3) Competent in leading internal & internal audits for customer compliance,
4) Knowledge of food safety & regulatory requirements
5) Compile reports on all quality safety & service
6) Result-oriented while at the same time instigating root cause analysis to improve performance gaps
