Job Title - Plant Metallurgist

Purpose of the Role:

1. Raw material for all types steels (low carbon, medium, high carbon ) alloy steel steel process knowledge, process and product characteristics, measurement methodologies and respective national and international standards.

2. Thermostatically processes forging, extrusion, drawing, rolling process and product knowledge, measurement methodologies according to national and international standards.

3. National and International standards knowledge and applicability.

4. Process and product knowledge for for ferrous and non ferrous casting.

5. Heat treatment processes knowledge prior machining processes and post machining processes.

6. Heat treatment process and product approvals according to CQI9 guidelines.

7. Cleanliness (Miliore ) testing and related national and international standards knowledge for its applicability.

8. Supplier evaluations and auditing capability and initiate for supplier improvements.

9. Equipment maintenance and calibrations for smooth operations.

10. New techniques of measurement, analysis adoptions e.g. SEM -EDS and interpete the results.

11. Failure analysis concepts and methodologies to handle customer complaints.

12. Technical conviction to customer, internal stake holders.

13. Chemical testing knowledge for water soluble, RPO's, neat cutting oils, grinding burns etc.

14. NDT testing knowledge and ASNT certifications are preferred.

15. Candidature shall lead by examples in his performance.

16 . Technical competent and communications skills to communicate to customer / supplier / stake holders etc.

17 . Candidate shall be good Cross functional team member and also can lead CFT for projects
