The incumbent reporting to Unit Head is accountable for all Safety operations and sustenance at Unit Level

The incumbents accountability is to ensure safe work practices across plant operations. This involves ensuring that proper equipment / methods / technical skills / sustenance of safe work practices.

Responsible for safe work practices across process operations and other related safety management activities

Ensuring safety perspective at all stages of planning and execution of operations Analysis of failures in safe work practices and establish the SOP for future

Responsible for proper awareness and engagement of people in ensuring the safe work practices

Effectiveness of Safety Management System for process and projects

Responsible for identification of risks in new & ongoing processes and set up SOP for safe work execution

Promote and sustain people engagement for risk identification and elimination through USC/USA

Accountable for grievance redress al related to safety and work place compliance as per safety standard

Liaison with concern govt authorities

Manage and develop the competencies of Safety team members

Desired Candidate profile

BE in Mech /Chemical with relevant certification recognised under Factories Act.

Should hold any one of the certifications -PGD in Industrial Safety, Masters in Industrial Safety / Fire Safety

18 -20 years of hands-on experience of handling Plant Safety in chemical process industries, Fertilisers, Ammonia and Urea

Minimum 5-7 years of leadership/managerial experience in fertilizer, urea or Ammonia industry

Deep understanding of the products, processes and practices

Expertise in Safety and disaster management practices.

Thorough knowledge of applicable Acts, Rules, Regulations and Codes in Chemical and related industries.

Proven leadership, communication and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities
